Holiday Card Making with Jade Kowalski. Create your own set of 12 cards with envelopes for the upcoming season of giving. Full access to Jade's handcarved blockprints, collage and mixed media materials. $45/all materials included. 5-8pm

Third Thursdays: Drawing from Life in the Annex of Ososweet Bakery and Café. This month will be a Round Robin, Draw and Be Drawn. Everyone will take a turn posing as the model. BYO materials. $20 suggested donation. 5-8pm, drop-in.

Explore eco-prints in the Village Garden!
Caitlin Michener, natural dyer, aka The Naked Lady, will demonstrate how to create a fresh flower hammer print. You will wander the idyllic gardens of the Chadds Ford Village Barn Shops, harvest blooms and hammer your own set of eco-print kitchen towels. Fun for all ages!
We have some really exciting events coming up, like THIRD THURSDAYS Drawing from Life, a monthly figure drawing session facilitated by Claire Coslop, one of The Lady's featured artist. First session is tomorrow, 5-8 in The Annex of OsoSweet Café and will be BYO materials, suggested donation $20.
Our monthly Village-wide arty party, Second Saturdays, is continuing and growing! November 8th, 9am-7pm, we'll be hosting half a dozen other local artists/vendors, a blockprinting workshop with Jade Kowalski aka Emotional Mammal, another featured artist, and a very special musical performance from Yea Big.
For myself, I'll be showing my first large-scale mobile at Warwick Furnace Farm's Anna's Oak Exhibition this weekend! The piece hangs roughly 8'×8' and is constructed of pieces of a 200 year old oak tree collected over 2 visits. The show features works from local artists working in various mediums to commemorate the tree, and some works will be auctioned and proceeds donated to the French and Pickering Preserve to aid conservation.
Fall has indeed had the feeling of of whirling, releasing and spiraling, catching up drifts and changing trajectories. The moment is as full as the harvest in need of collecting. So full, it can be overwhelming! And then I remember that every process goes step by step. Clear the soil, plant the seed, water, wait. The waiting becomes necessary too, as a space to imagine, dream daydream of new realities, possibilities. And full of dreams, we harvest.
